I’m a sustainable economic development and regeneration enthusiast. I use my knowledge, skills and experience to provide clients with analysis and advice on national, regional and local economic development issues enabling them to find solutions for themselves.
I have built up good working relationships with a wide range of organisations in the region, including Government Office for the South West, South West of England Regional Development Agency and local authorities.
Before starting Pidela Consulting I was General Manager for a business-led economic partnership in Dorset for 5 years where key achievements included:
- Production of Raising the Game (PDF download, 780KB), the first economic development strategy and action plan for Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole
- Successful operation of the Dorset Broadband Partnership Programme with Business Link as the principal delivery partner
- Lead partner for business and the economic ‘legacy’ for Dorset on the Dorset Working Group for the 2012 Games
Previously, I served for 25 years in the Royal Air Force in the UK and overseas, and was awarded an MBE for services to Defence in 2002.
